Piccolo Bowl
SKU: 073848-160
$36.00

Classic stripes. This bowl features the Piccolo pattern designed by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi in 1958. A nice size for soups or cereal, also works great to serve snacks. Dishwasher, oven, microwave, and freezer safe. Made in Thailand.

Founded in 1951 by visionary Finnish textile designer Armi Raitia and her husband, Viljo, Marimekko grew from a small textile-printing firm into an international phenomenon. From its beginnings as a textile design company, Marimekko (meaning “Mary’s dress”) branched out into everything from toys to dinnerware to architecture, becoming something of a lifestyle brand in the 1960s and 70s. The company’s outstanding designers revolutionized modern printed fabrics and fashion. Today the company continues to collaborate with young artists, encouraging experimentation. The result is spirited, non-traditional patterns and vivid colors.
