A new apron is bound to make everything taste better, right? This cheery one features Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi's iconic Piccolo pattern, designed in 1953. Makes a great housewarming or shower gift. Adjustable neck strap for a comfortable fit and front pockets help keep the cook organized. Machine wash warm, air dry. Made in Estonia.

Founded in 1951 by visionary Finnish textile designer Armi Raitia and her husband, Viljo, Marimekko grew from a small textile-printing firm into an international phenomenon. From its beginnings as a textile design company, Marimekko (meaning "Mary's dress") branched out into everything from toys to dinnerware to architecture, becoming something of a lifestyle brand in the 1960s and 70s. The company's outstanding designers revolutionized modern printed fabrics and fashion. Today the company continues to collaborate with young artists, encouraging experimentation. The result is spirited, non-traditional patterns and vivid colors.
